We started our walk, without stopping, on a nice path along the Danube. We did spend a moment at their Monument of Liberty. About 20 minutes later we ended up at the Baba Vidin Fortress. We learned that pink roses are the best for rose hip oil.
From there we went back toward the city center and stopped at the rebuilt, now cultural center, synagogue, Next stop was the home of the town Bishop and Orthodox Church which is across from the town Mosque.
Then to the city square and the Monument of freedom, in the shadow of the communist party office building.
We were then allowed to tour the pedestrian plaza, I walked around the side streets until spending time in the heat was getting to me and I ended up back on the ship after a good 5 mile walk.
After a nap I thought about going back to the city for a walk, but at 95 degrees, I opted to sit in the Air conditioned lounge and get caught up on pictures and blogs.
