Our ship is docked across from the Parliament building, It was a cold day on the water to start out our bus bus tour. We passed the chain bridge on the Pest Side and went to the the castle district on the Buda side. We passed St. Stephen's Basilica, the Academy of Science and The House of Houdini.

The House of Houdini requires you to have an invitation or a valid reservation to see a show. Because of time I did not go to the museum part of the location.

Next was the Hungarian State Opera House, and what is now the Terror Museum, formerly the home of the Secret Police. Next was Hero Square , it is noted for the Millennium Monument with statues featuring the Seven chieftains of the Magyars and other important Hungarian national leaders, as well as the Memorial Stone of Heroes, often erroneously referred as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Next was the monument to the 1956 Uprising.

Finally we ended the bus ride at the base of the castle district and our walk to Mathias Church. After our tour of the church we had free time. I went around to the side streets away from the main walkways of the tourists to look at the little local stores.

That Night I took a Danube river cruise to look at Budapest by night. A very enjyable adventure.
