Meeting the voices in my head

Today was a very busy and fun packed day. After breakfast at the hotel, whose daytime views are of a number of hotels in Las Vegas, I picked up some donuts and went to a taping Note: if you listen to the next episode, #1126, you will know why that is funny) of Matt and Mattingly's Ice Cream Social, preachingfun.com. I had a blast meeting Matt, Paul and Jacob the Audio guy. I had met Paul and Matt at the tapings of Penn & Tellers Fool Us. Paul was the warm up comic and kept up the energy when they were setting up the next act. Matt is the writer, the voice in Brooke Burkes ear and self proclaimed mascot of the show.
I left there and headed for the Excalibur where I got to see Magician Mac King perform. Mac King has to be the one artist benefitting the most from the triple digit temperature, because at 3PM its too hot to go to the pool, and he does a kid friendly show. I had seen some of his act on the innerwebs, but it was great to see it in person.
Done with Mac King's show I headed to Treasure Island to see the Cirque Du Soleil show Mystere. I bought the VIP tickets which included a back stage tour of the set and costumes, and a meeting with 2 of the actors/ I knew of this show from another podcast I listen to, 2 characters and a clown (https://www.2charactersandaclown.com/). During the time the audience files into the auditorium Jimmy Slonina (pictured) interacts with the crowd. I had let them know I would be attending, and was immensely please when after sitting near me for his schtick, he said "Hello Bozo". Bozo's is the name of their fans. His audience work was wonderful, showing, to me, amazing comedic and improvisational skills. RJ Owens plays an important role in the beginning of the show, and does all his working using nonsense words (except for PAPA) and a full range of physical comedy. The third member of the podcast, Johnny Miles was ill and not at the performance. RJ and Jimmy had recurring comedic bits that kept the show rolling during scene changes. Engaging the audience and Keeping the vibe strong.
The other part of the story, seemingly trying to tell the story of life, was confusing and amazing. Confusing because I have no idea what the story was about, amazing because it was modern dance, and acrobatics and music and eastern European gymnasts and trapeze artists and the only thing missing was a juggler. I reminded me of a circus without the animals. I number of wonder full vignettes that somewhere a creative mind has woven together a story. I really enjoyed the show, and would go see it in the future.
Tonight I will be asleep early, for the first time since getting here, and hope to sleep late since I have little planned until 7PM tomorrow.
