Day 7 started by dropping people off for an all day tour and then continuing to Speyer. I got a chance tos sleep in, which after a week I needed. The day was an 11,700 step day as we walked to the Technik museum of Speyer. While the Smithsonian Air and Space is better, there was still a lot to see. Had I chosen to walk up 300 steps I could have toured an old 747 Dreamliner and walked across its wing. There many aircraft from a Wright Brothers flyer, a Blues Angel jet, one of the largest Russian transport plane. There is an early Soviet version of the Space Shuttle and a moon rock.
They have Europes largest collection of Firetrucks. Since it is a private museum, many members have donated their old exotic cars and motorcycles.
We had 2 hours at the museum and the we walked to the Speyer Cathedral and into the city. I chose to not do more exploring and headed back to the ship.
Dinner was another fabulous meal, I had Chateaubriand.
Tomorrow in France
