Beach, Beach and Sightseeing

Spent Wednesday and Thursday at the beach. Dinner on Wednesday was a really good grilled cheese sandwich for dinner. Thursday was a beach day on the North Shore, with lunch at Waiahole Poi Factory. The pulled pork was excellent and poi was interesting. Dinner was a Poke Bowl. They were putting up the closed early sign when I stopped by.

Friday was a sightseeing trip, went downtown to see the palace and what was used as the Hawaii Five-0 headquarters and other official buildings. Included was the oldest church in Oahu built from coral. The went to the Dole Plantation. Had some fresh pineapple on pineapple soft serv.

Being Friday night, you could see the influx of people at dinner time, so I went to a different poke place for dinner. Still good.

Last day of vacation and leaving in the morning. Traffic getting out of the hotel is going to be a joke since there is a festival parade in the morning at the same time as checkout.
